My WifeAlice and I married in 1982 and have six beautiful daughters and at the time of writing this eleven grandchildren. We will celebrate 34 years together in September 2016. The greatest thing about marrying your soul mate is that no matter what life throws at you, together you weather the storm and fight back. Each storm survived strengthens your relationship. Our marriage has been a fortress of faith cemented in love and emblazoned with joy.
Alice has qualifications in Social Work and has worked as a Youth Work in New Zealand and Australia. She has a real passion for others and engages her passion and creative talents to bring about positive change to people's lives. We have served God missionally for more than 30 years through church leadership in youth ministry and other missional callings God has led us through. I love her so much and am blessed to serve side by side. She loves me and her family with all her heart even surviving breast cancer - she's a real warrior - the Queen of my heart! |

Our History |
We married when we were young in 1982 and spent our early life together in South Auckland - residing with my parents first then with Alice's. Our first place together was in Takanini and we loved having our own space with our small family back then.
Alice and I met at a small church in Manurewa. We were married and served in various ministries there in the early years. Our girls grew up together with us in actively involved in mission and in 1993 we were founding members of Calvary Community a church plant for a new generation of faithful believers. For the next 18 years we served in this community of faith until we moved overseas. In September 2010 Alice and I migrated to Australia and while being domiciled in Brisbane in the State of Queensland we have made regular trips 'across the ditch' back to New Zealand our homeland to stay connected with children and family who live there. The weather in Brisbane is an additional attraction apart from our four daughters and the grandkids who live here as well. At present two of our daughters are married; Diana to Afi Lama, and they have four children Kalani, Kiana, Keira Lee, and Kaliyah - we're grateful to live close to them in Brisbane and they are literally around the corner. Tabitha is married to Sione Hopoi and their blended family live in NZ - Kavell, Khloe, and Kataleya, plus their dog Nala. Lois' partner is Fenika Taupau, aka Naygis and their daughter is Raedyn Rose we share a home together in Calamvale. Alicia and her partner Vincent live around the corner from us too with their young family - Vallan, Eastyn and Jasmine. Our remaining girls Rebecca and Celeste are still single, one lives in NZ and our baby girl lives across the road from us. We are a very close-knit family and even our extended family keep in close contact - especially now the social media is so prevalent. |
